Dr.G.Soundra Pandian, Founder of DPT
Dr.Pandian Technologies was founded by Dr.G.Soundra Pandian in 1995. Dr.Pandian obtained his B.E.(Honours) degree from PSG College of Technology, University of Madras and PhD degree from Indian Institute of Technology Delhi in 1984. He joined as Design Engineer, Instrument Design Development Centre, IIT Delhi and then moved as Lecturer in Department of Electrical Engineering, IIT Delhi in 1986 and became Asst. Professor in 1989. Dr.Pandian had worked with Motorola, Phoenix, Arizona for 3 months in 1984 on RF Amplifiers R&D, worked with Standard Telecom Labs, England on Optical Systems R&D for 6 months in 1989 and worked with CDOT, Govt of India in 1991 on SDH R&D. He has supervised 2 PhDs and published about 25 research papers in the fields of RF and optical Communication. He was part of a number of sponsored projects from UNIDO, U.K. and CSIR. He left his job as Asst. Professor, I.I.T. Delhi in 1995. Dr.Pandian founded Dr.Pandian Technologies after leaving his Faculty job.

Leader in Telecom Training
Dr.Pandian Technologies obtained its first revenue from Trainings to Corporate Telecom companies. The first training course offered by DPT is “IP and X.25 networking”. Dr.Pandian developed a number of training courses in Telecom for example the course “Optical Communication and SDH” was offered in 1996. In the late nineties, Dr.Pandian prepared Training courses on CDMA, GSM and IP for Sasken Bangalore. The training course on GSM was a big hit and was used by Hutch (now Vodafone) and many other companies including NSN, LGSoft and Ericsson. Dr.Pandian developed a number of Telecom related Training courses to the need of the companies like Ericsson, Nokia, NSN and others, for example, ADSL Basics, ATM Basics, DWDM, IPv6, Rel.4 Theory, RF Planning, WCDMA Basics, LTE, IN Basics, etc.
Dr.Pandian Technologies got an Industrial Plot from UPSIDC, Greater Noida and now has a building for Telecom related software development at Site-B, Surajpur Industrial Area, Greater Noida.
Installation, Commissioning, Operation and Maintenance of Mobile Networks
Dr.Pandian Technologies diversified in to BTS Installation and Commissioning work for Hutch/Vodafone circles in Mumbai, Andhra Pradesh and U.P. East. Dr.Pandian founded one more company “Dr.Pandian Institute of Telecommunications Ltd” and the BTS Installation work was done under DPIT Ltd. When the Mobile Network business boomed, Dr.Pandian Technologies obtained its bigger order from Vodafone for BSS Operation and Maintenance for their Bihar and Jharkhand circles. DPT Engineers maintained the Vodafone network for about 8 months after which the work was continued by Vodafone staff.
Dr.Pandian Technologies diversified further to take up Microwave Installation Commissioning work from NEC and Optical SDH Multiplexer Installation Commissioning work from ECI.
The Installation and commissioning work was being done by us on a Pan-India basis. Microwave I/C was done mainly in Tamil Nadu and Bihar.
Unitech Wireless gave an order to Dr.Pandian Technologies to do “site-survey” work on a Pan-India basis that was completed successfully.
Dr.Pandian Technologies has the expertise and experience in handling Installation, Commissioning, Operation and Maintenance of mobile networks in India.
Man Power Business
Dr.Pandian Technologies entered in to the man-power supply for Telecom in 2007 by training fresh B.Tech Engineers from the public and supplying them to companies like NSN and Ericsson. Several hundreds of Engineers got jobs in this route. However we found that the business of training of Public Engineers was not viable as the Engineers wanted JOBS and not KNOWLEDGE or SKILLS.
Recently DPT is selecting and supplying Engineering staff to Ericsson. We select “creamy” fresh Engineers (with marks in 10th, 12th and B.Tech above 70%) and place them in Ericsson either on-roll or off-roll. We provide Free trainings to these Engineers if and when required.
We are extending the man-power supply business to Bangalore based companies also.
Software Development
DPT is also working on the IT field in the software development relating to Portal Development and Value Added Sevices Software for Mobile Networks.
DPT has experience in web development, php, wordpress, mysql, etc. This site has been developed by the staff of Dr.Pandian Technologies.
DPT will be working on the software development related to Mobile handsets, Android, and iPhone as well as on Mobile Network related VAS products involving SS7 and IN.
Agriculture R&D
Dr.Pandian Technologies now has 70 plus acres of land in Tamil Nadu and will be entering in to School/College establishments. For the time being DPT is cultivating the land to enter business relating to agriculture. We are studying the results on experiments relating to seeds, goat farming, and weed control mechanisms. Chillies, Cotton, Bannana, Cholam and corn are being tested.
